Trixie Lulamoon Doll: Hair Restoration

Hey everybody! I have a long list of posts I need to make, including the Equestria Girls 3 pack and the Tamagotchi P's(it got here before Christmas, btw).

Today, though, I noticed that my Trixie doll had terrifying hair! D:
It had been that way ever since I got her!
Here's a tutorial on how to fix it!

Step 1: Grab a doll with a very bad hair day.

Step 2: Brush all of her hair out so it's got crazy volume and is detangled. Do this step carefully to avoid dolly hair loss. Here's the brush I use for this step:
It's the Build-a-Bear Workshop pony hairbrush, but I think any kind of doll hairbrush will be OK.

Step 3: Remove the rubber hair tie if you haven't already. Brush again. Separate the three different colors of hair in the back.

Step 4: Twist the two smaller strands together and clip them to the dress so they don't get in the way.

Step 5: Separate The bangs from the bulk of the hair.

Step 6: Tie the bulk in a small elastic band. I used an electric blue rainbow loom band for this.

Step 7: The hard part. Take a damp(not dropping wet) paper towel and wipe her bangs with it, being careful not to get the rest of her hair wet. A few strands of hair might be lost. Wet the paper towel again, squeeze out most of the moisture, and wrap it around her bangs. Squeeze as hard as you can, getting all the water out of the paper towel.

Step 8: Pin the wet section back.

Step 9a(optional): If you want her ponytail on the original side, pull the twisted hair over to the left side. If not, leave it where it is. Regardless, remove the pin at the end.

Step 9b: If you wanted the ponytail on this side and didn't move the twisted hair, it would end up looking like this. Not bad, just not ideal.

Step 9c(not optional! Don't skip!): Untwist the hair and tie it all together (with the exception of the bangs) with another ponytail holder.

Step 10: Unpin the bangs, and then step back and enjoy the finished product! You might have to reshape the bangs a bit by curling them around your finger and you might want to move the colored strands around a bit, but that's pretty much it! The frizzy lump of bangs is gone and the ponytail has more definition.

'You'd better believe I've got tricks up my sleeve!'

'That's Equestrian Magic!'

Bye for now, and have fun restoring your dolls! Spoiler picture for the next post:

'Why am I wearing children's clothing?! Not saying I don't rock it, because I'm Rainbow Dash, but seriously...'

Birthday Stuff!

Hey guys! As you may or may not know, I recently had my birthday.
It was tons of fun-I ate burgers at Red Robin, shopped a bit, and has some delicious Gluten Free cupcakes from a local bakery.
I also got some pretty great gifts! :D
Ta-Da!~
I got an MLP Equestria Girls 3-pack of the Cutie Mark Crusaders:
They'll be fun to review! :)
An AWESOME 'Ponies Rock' T-shirt:
In that clipart, Pinkie was originally holding cake.
Super Smash Bros. 3DS(Which I can't stop playing):
Beware the animal crossing villager; He'll K.O. you with his tiny spherical fists.
And last but not least, book 8 of the Dork Diaries series:
They just keep getting better! I already read the whole thing. :P
Later that day, when we went shopping, I got quite a surprise.
The Disney Store at the mall had just had a major restock.
I'm talking packed to the ceiling with Animator's Collection dolls.
I was thinking about getting the singing Elsa doll, but once I saw it in person I decided it wasn't what I anticipated at all.
I settled on a Classic Elsa Doll to match my Anna and I knew that when I saw it I wouldn't want to 'let it go'.
*Ahem*, please excuse my bad pun. XD
They also had about 3 of the Ice Skating sets with both Anna and Elsa in them.
The only reasons I didn't get that set is because I already have Anna and, although the Ice Skating set version is slightly different, I don't want duplicates. I also knew that their skates would make it hard to stand them up.
Here she is!
Woah, what's up with her braid???
Since I already took the photos, I'll get the review up soon. I also took photos of some loom bands I bought today which I also need to review. I don't even have photos for the Cutie Mark Crusaders yet, so their review might take a while longer, even though thy were the first to be unboxed.

Wow, I've got a lot to do!
Bye for now! :)

Disney Store Anna Doll Review

Hello, everyone! I haven't made a post in a while and the last one I made was just a picture.
Anyway, I went to a Disney Store in the big city and had a stroke of luck.
They had 20 or so Anna classic dolls, Anna plush dolls, Kristoff Animator's collection dolls(I find these to be very creepy, but that's my personal opinion) and various Frozen apparel.
I was very excited to see that they had Anna!
Now here's the review!
A plastic prison.
Here she is in her box. The box is nicely decorated.
The back features pictures of Elsa and Anna. Honestly, I don't care too much about the box. Let me at the doll! :P
I think it's safe to say that I had no idea how to open the box, so I hacked at it with scissors.
Getting rid of all the little ties was a nightmare. There were little ties holding her braids down to her cape! :( Is that really necessary?
Anyway, I eventually freed her.

Freedom!
Here's a close-up of her face. Much better than the Mattel dolls!
She poses very nicely.
"Sorry, I didn't realize you'd have... Giants over."
"What did you say?"
I didn't realize it at the time, but she's gigantic compared to my other dolls. Here she is with my Equestria Girls Rainbow Dash doll.
Don't worry; they settled their differences.
Anna has articulation is her elbows, knees, wrists, and ankles! She's my first fully articulated doll. My deluxe Equestria Girls have jointed elbows and knees and no feet(Peg feet) and my singing Twilight Sparkle has jointed knees.
Bye!!!
Also, her clothes are amazingly movie accurate! I'll compare her to my cousin's(who I will now proceed to refer to as DanceGirl) Mattel Anna and Elsa dolls.
Definitely worth $16.95, all in all! Bye for now!

The Mystery of Trixie Lulamoon

This is the mystery of an Equestria Girls Rainbow Rocks doll I got. Here it is:
What's the mystery? The mystery is that the stock photos for this doll on most sites aren't even for this doll. For example:
Her hair color is different and the colors of her dress are different(as well as a variation in the style of the bodice). And yes, this picture is for the same doll you see above!
I found another variation, too:

The skirt of the dress on this doll looks practically the same as the other stock photo, but the bodice is like the original doll. Also, this doll has the Rainbow Rocks streaks in her hair, unlike the other two. Her guitar appears to be clear and her hat has yellow.
The variations could perhaps be country-exclusive or prototypes. If you know anything about these mysterious variations, please let me know!

MLP Equestria Girls Doll Review!

Hello everybody! Today, I'm finally making my EG Doll review! My internet has been down, but it's finally back so I can get to this post!

Standard Dolls:
This is my only standard doll, Pinkie Pie. She comes with a booklet, stickers, a brush, and a headband accessory. Her shirt is painted on and it has slightly uneven glitter layered on. Her outfit is very accurate to the movie other than her skirt. As you can tell by the photo, rather than being curly, her hair is very frizzy! She has pony ears characteristic of all the dolls and Bratz-like peg feet.(I'll get to those in a minute!) All in all, definitely worth $15.

Doll and Pony Set Dolls:
This doll comes with a pony, a brush, wings, a purse, a booklet, and stickers. The pony is fairly good quality, with a cute plaid motif matching the doll's dress. The doll has the same body as a standard doll without the painted top. I must note that her left arm is a little loose, which I find very strange. That's pretty much her only flaw. She has pony ears and Bratz peg feet. You can also find a doll and pony set with Princess Celestia. The sets are $20 in most places, but I've seen them for $25.

Deluxe Dolls:
These are my favorites of all of the Wave 1 dolls. They come with 2 outfits each(including the ones they're wearing), 2 pairs of shoes, a bag accessory, cute little pony earrings, wings(not for deluxe Rarity), hair extensions(pictured wearing them), tiny pony bracelets, a brush, a booklet, and stickers. They have jointed elbows and knees which means they can have a variety of cute poses! The one problem I've noticed is that their shoes are very difficult to take off. Again, they have pony ears and the notoriously terrifying peg feet. Definitely worth $20!

Rainbow Rocks Singing Twilight Sparkle (Pinkie Pie also available!):

Sorry about the dark photo! She is an awesome doll! She's seriously the best one I have! You push on her hand and she talks and sings. You can see original Twilight making the photo creepy. She has jointed knees(has difficulty standing up) and guess what else!
Feet! The Rainbow Rocks line is Wave 2 of the dolls and they actually have feet! This is compared to the creepy stumps of the original dolls. The new dolls also have awesome shoes.
She comes with a microphone w/ stand and a 'Backstage pass'.
I can't think of any flaws! I got this one for $25.

In my next post, I'll cover the mysterious Trixie Lulamoon Doll! Bye!

In case you didn't know, I love My Little Pony. I watch it every Saturday and I watch it on Netflix. I also love their human counterparts, Equestria Girls! :D That review is still coming up... Sorry it's taking so long! :(
Anyway, I made a new blog to suit MLP in all its awesomeness. Here it is! I have my Vintage My Little Pony Pinterest board on the side there.
Bye for now! :D

How to Make the Belt Bracelet!

I made a new Rainbow Loom Tutorial! It's for a great bracelet called the Belt. In the thumbnail, you can see (Blurry!) the box of my new Monster Tail Rainbow Loom! It's a nifty little thing that I will review soon. I will also review the My Little Pony Equestria Girls Rainbow Rocks Singing Twilight Sparkle Doll.
That was a long name.
Bye for now!
